IRCC releases its latest Express entry draw on January 30, 2019, and the draw is noted as the minimum CRS score in the draw i.e., 438 which is five times low compared with the previous draw.

A sum of 3350 ITA was issued on January 30 when compared to the year beginning with the high number of ITA issued by the Canadian Immigration Council a total of 11,150 ITA which is high since the Express Entry draws in 2015.

Express Entry manages the pool of high candidates for the federal skilled trade class, federal skilled worker class, and the Canadian experience class. Canada targets a high number of skilled people in the following years 2019-2020. It is expected to issue more numbers of ITA than the previous years.

“IRCC said they were hoping to go deeper into the Express Entry pool in order to get at the talent below the cut-off scores we were seeing last year and this latest draw has that effect,” said David Cohen, senior partner with the Campbell Cohen Canadian immigration law firm in Montreal. “Express Entry is off to a great start in 2019 and it will be exciting to see where it goes from here.”
